This is one of my favourite ways to get an iodine boost. Iodine, from seaweed, is crucial for thyroid function, mental alertness, metabolism, immunity and oestrogen balance. And with nearly 7 out of 10 Australian women being deficient, I’m keen to top up.
This dish also gives a very decent dash of protein (15-20g per serve).
Ingredients:
- 2 pieces of Dory, cut into strips (I just quarter the fillets)
- Roasted Nori seaweed sheets (sushi paper)
- Olive oil
- 1 lemon
- Salt
- Chilli flakes
Serves 2
There’s one way to impress a Dory here: roll it in a little blanket of Nori seaweed, gently fry it till golden brown and sprinkle with chilli flakes, lemon and salt. Make if feel, well….wrapped!
